My art is an association assemblage, an emotion emulsion, a cultural concoction. I build my pieces a bit like sampling in a hip hop beat, motifs are borrowed, reshaped and put together to mean something new.
Im telling a story through emotionally triggering visual ideas, combining many of these in an attempt to evoke complicated feelings while using occasionally simple, sometimes seemingly banal images.
I use many different styles of image making and painting: propaganda posters, 8 bit game art, classic realism, whatever conveys the emotion or cultural impact im looking for. Usually im looking to tell a story about ambivalent morality and the Rashomon like experience of having an experience, about storytelling, about how it is to live through war(s). Im also an Israeli jew millennial, a lot of my visual language is old testament and internet culture, and war.
